Role and Responsibilities:

Working within the product management function, the role will be primarily focused on developing existing and new products in line with customer driven priorities. The successful candidate will be working directly with customers and all areas of business and will have the opportunity to help shape the company's new products. This will involve:

- Being responsible for managing, either on your own or within a team, one or more products or projects throughout its life cycle from definition to delivery to the customer
- Building and managing strong stakeholder relationships with customers, suppliers and delivery partners
- Authoring and presenting business cases and product delivery/management material up to senior executive level
- Leading requirements analysis on customer engagements
- Engaging business and technical teams to define and develop new products and business change programmes
- Developing and documenting detail requirements for internal or out sourced development and customer stakeholders
- Provide product specialist expertise for the provision of application support to technical teams and customers
- Creating and maintaining business/technical documentation as necessary
- Performing other related duties as assigned

Skills and Experience Required:

- Product Management/Business Analyst experience preferably in a fast growing business
- Experience of building and managing stakeholder relationships and influencing at all levels, including working with outsourced or offshore development or business functions.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; you should be comfortable leading, facilitating and presenting
- Experience of explaining technical concepts to non technical colleagues, customers and suppliers/delivery partners
- Practical experience of engineering/re-engineering processes and implementing change with demonstrative business improvements
- Ideally having experience working in or with blue chip or equivalent large companies
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies, e.g. Prince 2/Scrum
- Ideally have worked with Agile/RAD methodologies
- Experience of working with business critical services (Preferred)
- Experience of working with different software development methodologies (Preferred)

Overview:

Our client is a leading brand of test and measurement equipment and they currently require and experienced Applications Engineer to assist customers and Field Application Engineers during integration of PXI into new and existing manufacturing test programs.

Senior Applications Engineer - Job Description:

- Work with customers to derive and agree requirements, milestones and acceptance criteria.
- Assist Field Application Engineers and customers to write/debug/optimize application software.
- Escalate new feature requests to marketing and technical problems to Engineering.
- Write training manuals, generate specimen application source codes and publish application notes.
- Provide product and application training courses to Field Applications Engineers and customers.
- Provide technical support.

Senior Applications Engineer - Requirements:

- C# programming skills.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and have excellent motivation and be self reliant.
- Willing to travel overseas for periods of 3 weeks approx; 4-6 times a year.
- Educated to degree level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or similar.

The following would be advantageous:

- GPIB instrument programming.
- Understanding of RF measurements principles and layer 1 RF characteristics of Wireless LAN, 2G/3G standards.
- Familiarity with application development environments: TestStand, LabView, Lab Windows CVI and Visual Basic.
- Fluency in Mandarin.

You will be working with major international Enterprise Banks across the EMEA in a mixed role involving client support and analysis for the first 6-12 months whilst you learn their remarkable platform ( providing advice and guidance to clients on credit, liquidity and market risk management/reporting and calculating convexity, duration, vega, GAP analysis, stress testing, VaR and CaR across the client's entire balance sheet ). You will then move into managing client, their projects and helping them build Enterprise Risk Frameworks.

You will also be exposed to Interest Rate Risk, evaluating bonds with optionality, derivatives Renovera badrum kök Stenungsund etc (Caps, Floors, Swap and Swaptions) and Fund Transfer Pricing Analysis. You need to have excellent academic results with ideally a MSc. in Finance/Banking related disciplines or Economics and have at least 10 years commercial experience working in Financial Risk environment involving a Fixed Income. Ideally you will have FRM or CFA ! The environment involves working with customers face to face, via telephone and email and therefore an additional European language such as French, German, Spanish, Italian or Dutch is very beneficial. You MUST have an EU based passport enabling you to work and travel from London in and out of Europe without restriction.

The successful applicant needs to have a voracious appetite to learn as you will be constantly be exposed to new concepts/ new quantitative models. The successful candidate must possess a track record of success in building teams and driving business growth and have a track record in developing software, or value-added services such as IT strategy or architectural design.

Technical Requirements
* Strong experience of working and developing enterprise web services.
* Strong JAVA J2EE and EJB skills.
* Knowledge of AJAX, RESTful and general web services.
* Strong AJAX web toolkit skills and experience of using at least one of the following:
o GWT, jQuery, SWT, AWT and Swing
* Strong knowledge of XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
* Knowledge of agile methods and test driven development.
* Strong knowledge of Eclipse.
* Strong knowledge of SVN or GIT for source code control.
* Strong use of issue tracking and testing tools.
* Knowledge of build tools: Ant or Maven.

The role will:

* Program within the companies architecture, documentation & direction, being able to clearly articulate the contents & vision
* Support users as required in the first 3 - 4 months with the role to then progress into a more development role thereafter
* Deliver high quality JAVA coding, working with other developers & 3rd parties where appropriate
* Work closely with Executive Team to ensure consistency of approach, leveraging documentation where possible
* Education of the sales force and senior management
* Quality Assurance on all deals where architectural solutions are required
* Present & assist in account planning & messaging for clients, in all regions, through liaison with sales leads
